Adrak Lopoe prosecuted
(Kyodo News) The Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy said that Adak Lopoe, 45, a Tibetan monk form Lithang County, Sichuan Province, who was taken away by intelligence officers on 21 August 2007 following accusations of being the "mastermind" behind the "01 August incident" was prosecuted on 11 September 2007. Adak Lopoe is the nephew of Ronggyal Adak who delivered a speech in support of the Dalai Lama’s return to Tibet on 01 August 2007 at the Lithang Horse Festival. Ronggyal Adak was already prosecuted on 27 August 2007. Both men were prosecuted for "inciting to subvert state power". It is believed that they will be tried in court before the 17th National Congress to be held in October 2007.
