New Chinese website on Tibetan culture
(Xinhua) A website about Tibetan culture run by the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) has gone online. The website, www.tibetculture.net, “provides a panorama of Tibetan society and features the protection and development of local culture”, according to the state news agency Xinhua. The CAPDTC is an NGO with official endorsement, and has as its chairmen Ragdi (Chin: Raidi), vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, formerly vice chairman of the TAR, and Ngapo Ngawang Jigme, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top advisory body.
