Opening of Natu La postponed
(IANS) The Chinese government has postponed the reopening of the Natu la pass between India and Tibet. "We have been informed by the external affairs ministry that infrastructure required for trading on the Chinese side was not complete and hence we cannot start business as scheduled" Sikkim government spokesman B.B. Gurung said. A symbolic ceremony to mark the resumption of traditional trade originally planned for 2 October 2005 has been rescheduled. It may now be held in March or April 2006.
