Construction of Lhasa railway station finished
Lhasa railway station, a landmark building on the Qinghai-Lhasa railway line, has been completed. Located in Toelung Dechen (Chin. Doilungdeqen) county, the station is about 30 kilometers from the urban centre of Lhasa. While describing the station as a showcase of both the modern and traditional Tibetan architectural styles, Xinhuanet specifies that all possible conveniences to help passengers overcome altitude sickness will be provided.
