Exile Tibetan Administration Encouraged by Parliament of Trentino-South Tyrol
(TibetNet) The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in Dharamsala has hailed the motion on Tibet passed by majority votes on 5 July by the Regional Parliament of Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy, as "an expression of international support for the non-violent struggle of the Tibetan people for greater freedom and restoration of human rights in Tibet". The motion urges the Office of Presidency and the Regional Government to strengthen links with the Dalai Lama and the CTA, and to continue to inform about the situation of Tibet. Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche stated that the re-establishment of contacts between the Chinese authorities and Dharamshala is realised largely because of international support.
