Bubble dear Phunsok, I was travelling in northern India and Kathmandu with a friend, between april and june 1980 (or 81); I was then about 22 years old and I got a very dear friend, Phunsok Tshering, about my age, first we met in Lucknow on train station on the gate where my german last name was converted in hindi writing for the train reservation (!), he was travelling with a tibetian boy and girl, then we see in Kathmandu and we went to the big stupa near Kathmandu and the monkey temple, we were writing letters for some years... I remember very good, he was then a thanka painter yet and he told me that he was from Darjeeling... I just want to send my very best wishes and feelings to my dear brother, greetings, Christa
